Project Patio

There had always been an idea that outdoor space was good, and from this came the genesis of Project Patio. Started in 2015 and enjoyed from 2016+

September 2015 – Week Ten

Week Twelve

Weak in the presence of beauty – February 2016

A cold week in March 2016

Finally getting some slabs down for the Patio – hopefully in advance of the table being delivered next week. Quick view of a sudden snow storm and a one legged Battersea power station finishes off the updates for this week. The mill stone in the middle of the patio was the original stone on the previous patio – in fact is a mill stone cut in half. Heavy little buggers those mill stones.

Week Twenty – Getting down to some planting on the Patio

Part Seven – The beauty is in the detail said one wise Hippo to the other. A couple of Prunus Shirofugen by the barn & most of the patio fully planted with a fire pit and accessories. We are getting somewhere

Hedging our bets

Part one in an ongoing series of photos over the next few years where I attempt to cloud prune the yew hedge next to the patio in order to open up the view. High hopes for this one – moving away from the conformity of a box into a flowing cloud like structure. Work to be done

Near as damn it completed – finished with turf and love
