Part of a long term plan was started over the weekend and finished this evening. An old iron sided, wooden slatted bench was picked up from an auction a few weeks ago for £10.
Equipped with a drill, GCSE CDT skills and enthusiasm we replaced all the rotten slats with some reclaimed hard wood from South America. It ain’t pretty but it’s very stable and ready to last a few years.
There are many more skills for the amateur to pick up – and a few more suited tools.
